I have been watching this band grow for about 10 years now. They really have a great energy and sound together, and I always felt that Jack Winders has similar influences that I do, and that building him a bigger tweed amp was just what would work for him. They play in some large venues, and the 5F6A Bassman really was what I thinking.

This 5F6A is a good reproduction of an original, spot on voltages, added bias pot for making it  easier to change tubes and to get the tubes right into the sweet spot. It's loaded up now with 2 5881 power tubes and is right in that 40-50 Watt range. The speakers are EMI Legend 1028K alnico.

Well, Jack has been using this amp for performances and in the studio. When they got underway for their self titled record, Jack stopped in town to grab a few other items to use in the studio; a stand alone reverb unit, and the 6G3/9. The record is full of AW amps, and they captured the spirit of Horseplay perfectly IMHO!
